Our Ethics

Passion: To be happy you have to follow your dharma with passion. Here at Dharma Bums we are passionate about the work we do and the garments we bring you. Every garment is made with care and attention to every detail to ensure the garment reaches you in perfect condition.

Relationships: We believe everyone has the right to be treated kindly, with respect and in a fair way. Therefore we make sure we only use manufacturers that share the same values. This means every person involved with bringing our product to life is treated with respect, works in  safe, clean conditions and receives a fair pay.

Community: As a small business ourselves we understand how important it is to support and keep the small businesses industry alive in the community. The partners we work with in manufacturing our garments are small, family run and based in Australia. We strive to achieve long lasting relationships with our suppliers that are mutually beneficial and rewarding.

Enviroment:  At Dharma Bums we think it is important to be eco friendly wherever we can. We only use recycled paper for all of our stationary, packaging and promotional material. We do not use any harsh chemicals in the dying of our garments.

By working closely with our supply base and having it close to home we are able to make to order thus we have extinguished the need for excess stock which creates unnecessary waste and landfill.

We have a great love and respect for the animals we share our planet with. Therefore we do not use any animal products in the making of our garments.

Lifestyle: To be a happy Dharma Bums and enjoy a long and adventurous life we need to be fit and healthy. Dharma bums practices what it preaches here at the home base we practice yoga and meditation on a regular basis.

Keeping it real: The people who model the Dharma Bums range are all yogi’s, sport participants and dancers who embody an active and healthy lifestyle. They are all different body types and personalities. And they are beautiful exactly as they are. We do not airbrush them in anyway.
